What is the position of a musical instrument in the age of co-creation? "This Isn’t Solo" is an interactive concert that proposes a reflection on the authorship and materiality of music. It is a performance that dismantles the hierarchy between creator and spectator, transforming the audience into a driving force and co-author of the soundscape.

At the heart of this experience is the Knurl, an instrument whose recorded and digitized sonic essence awaits human intervention to manifest. Four participants from the audience are elevated to the status of conductors, wielding cello bows not to play strings, but to manipulate the musical layers of the Knurl.
